Dr. Matt Randall joins Collier Equine
Collier equine in Waller, Texas, proudly announces the
addition of Dr. Matt Randall
to the practice. Randall joins clinic owner and founder Dr. Bill Collier
and associate Dr. Marcus Hutka.
A second-generation veterinarian from Southern Montana, Randall is a 2002 graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo. After graduation, he interned at Elgin Veterinary Hospital in Elgin, Texas, before taking an associate position at Peninsula Equine, a progressive ambulatory and referral practice in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.
Randall's practice philosophy is a blend of
progressiveness and cowboy logic. He enjoys using acupuncture as an
adjunct to traditional medicine. A charter member of the International
Society of Equine Locomotive (ISELP), Randall has studied the latest diagnostic
techniques as well as the most recent advances in sports medicine. He has
vast experience in the use of ultrasound for the diagnosis of musculoskeletal
problems as well as some of the newer therapies such as Tildren and IRAP.
Randall also has advanced knowledge of equine dentistry.
A former American Quarter Horse Youth Association President, Randall is still actively involved with the American Quarter Horse Association, currently serving on the research committee. Randall also belongs to the American Endurance Ride Conference and serves as a ride veterinarian. He will be working Tevis , the famed 100-mile race in the California Sierras, this year.
In his spare time, Randall enjoys spending time with his wife, Tanya, an award-winning equine journalist, roper and barrel racer, and 2-year-old son Colton, an accomplished cat and dog wrestler. Although a promising 2-year-old reiner has him contemplating a return to the show ring, Randall finds the relaxed atmosphere of the roping arena more appealing these days.
